There is nothing more refreshing on a hot day than a cold glass of iced tea. OK, maybe a margarita or a mojito, but that's not always in the cards.
If you can boil water, you can make iced tea at home. It's that easy. Make this for some guests and you'll be a hero. You don't have to tell them how easy it was either. We'll keep it a secret.
Trust me when I tell you that this tastes better than any iced tea you'll buy in a store. Make this once, and you'll be hooked.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
2 litres (8 cups) Water
2 tea bags (black tea or orange pekoe tea)
3/4 cup Sugar
1 Lemon
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Cover and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar until it has melted.
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon into the pot.Stir well and chill in the fridge until cool.

***After you try it, if you find it is a little too sweet, you can add more water to dilute it to your liking.
Serve in a tall glass full of ice and garnish it with a lemon slice.
